About Dr. Dhanesh Volvoikar

Dr Dhanesh Volvoikar is one of the leading Expert in field of Allergy in India. He is a regular expert Faculty in Allergy Subject in various National & International conferences held in different cities over the past few years.

He has also contributed Chapters on different Allergy text books and had written Standard Treatment Guidelines on Allergy Subject released by Indian Academy of Pediatrics for the benefit of organisation’s 30000+ pediatricians.

He has overall 35 yrs of experience having passed MBBS from Prestigious Goa Medical College which is considered as 1st Medical School in whole of Asia. After completing Post Graduate Diploma in Child Health he served as Pediatrician in various reputable institutes like TN Medical College & B YL Nair Hospital Mumbai, LTMC & Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Hospital Sion Mumbai , Peadiatric Department Goa Medical College and North Goa District Hospital.

As a Pediatrician his interest was primarily in Wheezing patients and Asthma & allergy disorders. He started his pvt clinic in Porvorim Goa on Doctor’s Day 1st July 2010. Since then he has updated his knowledge and has been National Trainer of Indian Academy of Pediatrics in Allergic Rhinitis, Under 5 wheezing and Asthma. And has conducted various workshops in above subjects for benefit of General Doctors & Pediatrician.

Having deep interest in the field of Allergy he completed Fellowship in Allergy & Clinical Immunology from Saveetha University, Chennai under the Course Director legendary late Proff Major K Nagraju. He was among the first few Doctors achieving this fit of Allergy fellowship in India. He also completed advanced training in Allergy & Immunotherapy from AAEC & Vaidahi Institute of Medical Sciences Bangalore. Ever since then he has focused his attention on treating Allergy patients of all age groups. And has handled different types of allergic manifestations from Wheezing Children to Adult Asthma, From Eczema, contact Dermatitis to Drug Allergy & From Food allergy , Nose & Eye allergy to all other difficult cases in this field. Over the course of time his centre in Porvorim and Healthway Hospital Old Goa has became major referral centre for solutions of any allergic conditions and has helped various Doctors in treating there difficult cases and has come as a boon to various patients having persistent allergic conditions like Asthma, Allergic Rhinitis , Conjunctivitis, Food allergy, drug allergy and repeated wheezing in children.

On organisational front Dr Dhanesh was President of Goa State Chapter of Indian Academy of Pediatrics (2021-23), President of Bardez Branch of IMA (2008), Secretary of State IMA (2009) and currently an executive member of Pediatric Allergy Association of India.
He was also honoured to be first elected representative from Goa on National Medical Commission (Old MCI ) as a member on National advisory council and for 10 long years was Vice President of Goa State Medical Council (2011 to 2021).
